The eruption of a German volcano
DER MARZAHNER AUSBRUCH
The eruption of a German volcano
114 ÜBER MARZAHN Festival, Ahrensfelder Berge, Berlin, Germany, 2019
The first volcano in Berlin stands in Ahrensfelder mountains in the district of Marzahn.
On September 7th 2019 it becomes the highest mountain of the city on the occasion of the "114 ÜBER MARZAHN" festival.
The smoke of the volcano comes up from the first layer of the ice-age, goes through the GDR era, filters itself and refreshes once it approaches the new designed peak from the 90's.
Inside the active volcano, visitors can discuss and share ideas about the future of the neighbourhood and experience the feeling of becoming lava.
