RESONANCE OF SHADOWS
2025, Bavaria, Germany

Over three weeks, on the occasion of the OUT OF THE BOX FESTIVAL, Plastique Fantastique and sound artist Pablo Diserens presented a mobile installation that uses shadows to interact with its surroundings during a journey of discovery through Bavaria.

The course unfolds in different chapters. Squeezed beneath the branches of trees, the shadows of the landscape are projected onto the surface of a translucent sphere, transforming the environment into a oneiric, surreal landscape.
The interplay of branches and shadows creates an ephemeral world where the boundaries between nature, architecture, and the public dissolve. As the organic forms of the trees merge with the fluidity of the structure, visitors find themselves enveloped in an ever-shifting spectacle of reflections and silhouettes. This poetic space invites contemplation, blurring the lines between reality and illusion, permanence and impermanence.

At another point in the journey, when placed on a stage, the sphere is filled with musicians, and its surface with their distorted shadows. Then it blasts open - the performers emerge and the play begins.
